Gardens are living systems - shaped by water, weather, soil, and time. Creating a beautiful garden here isn’t just about choosing the right plants; it’s about understanding how those plants will live, adapt, and thrive season after season.

With over 25 years of professional gardening experience and a formal degree in landscape design, I bring both knowledge and intuition to every garden I steward. My work is rooted in deep plant expertise - from soil health and site conditions to seasonal resilience in Minnesota’s Zone 5 climate. This allows me to make thoughtful plant decisions that protect your investment and reduce costly trial-and-error.

I work with homeowners who value clarity and trust. Clients rely on me to choose the right plants, at the right time, for the right place - and to adjust those choices as conditions change. My focus goes beyond aesthetics to include long-term plant health, biodiversity, and gardens that grow more beautiful and balanced over time.

Whether I’m walking the property with you or guiding the work of my team, my role is the same: to care for your garden with intention, experience, and respect for the land.

I help clients get the garden they’ve always imagined - without the guesswork.

I have a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am a contributing expert to Lake Minnetonka Magazine, where I’ve authored more than a dozen articles on gardening, plant care, and working with nature in our local climate.

My history includes teaching sustainable gardening practices, known as Permaculture in both Kenya and Haiti. I’ve spent time studying plant medicine in the jungles of Costa Rica, the hills of Ireland and in throughout Minnesota. For two years I produced a cut flower farm using biodynamic, all natural processes. The flower bouquets were sold at coops and farmer’s market throughout the Twin Cities.

All of these experiences and more have informed Being Strong in Nature.
